Slow Browsing

I am experiencing very slow Internet browsing while running utorrent v1.1 and I am only uploading stuff not downloading anything at all? As soon as I exit utorrent, the broesing goes back to normal. BTW I am on a 1.5mb ADSL.

You need upload bandwidth in order to browse. Also, too much uploading raises your PING (time it takes to talk to a site).

You should open Preferences and set your max upload speed to about 70% of you total. If you have 1mbps upload, set your max upload to about 80-100KB/s.

Play with the max upload speed until you see your browsing going back to normal.

I've done, what you've suggested but no effect? Still experiencing slow browsing while running utorrent.

Have you continued to try and drop you upload speed? I have to keep my really low (read: 25k/avg) if i want to be able to do anything on the net while I'm seeding.

Otherwise you might want to reboot your DSL modem. I was having a problem like this a few days ago, and giving my modem a swift kick in the pants seemed to help.

I notice this problem too. Switching from Azureus with the same caps. The browsing seems a bit slower.

Try a traffic shapping like Cfos (search in google).
