When I Open Utorrent my whole internet drops

Hi Guys,

 

sorry but I am new to all this and never needed to post anything before.

 

I have read all the guides which i will try later today.

Just want to ask if this is can be a "normal" fix without messing with too many settings;

 

I was experiencing slow speeds with Sky Fibre at around 13-14Mbps, they sent out an engineer 2 days ago and they managed to increase my speed to 18-20Mbps (using the ookla speedtest app on my iphone)

 

Now every time I open utorrent (without starting any torrent either) I find that my download speed was struggling to hit 300Kbs. So I did another speed test and it was then showing 0.8Mbps?

 

I exited utorrent and after 10-15 minutes I ran another speed test which was back up to the 18-20Mbps.

 

are sky now throttling my downloads after sending the engineer out, or is this a major coincidence? More importantly is there a way that I can fix this issue as my downloads where OK before the engineer came out?
