An ActionScript error has ocurred. PiusX Posted August 17, 2015 Report Posted August 17, 2015 Did you try another different torrent to verify the problem wasn't utorrent by trying a torrent that doesn't have Chinese or Korean name in it?
alcaray Posted August 17, 2015 Report Posted August 17, 2015 I'm getting these too. They have to do with the box ads, though. Not the torrents. Almost all of them complain about linking to some adware site. The site varies. Here's an example of one of mine: "SecurityError: Error #2060: Security sandbox violation: ExternalInterface caller https://s.yimg.com/rq/iv/Darla.swf cannot access http://rtb.gumgum.com/nurl/bdswitch/ee64a8a4-c35b-4332-8eec-76a5f888717e/0.7938. at flash.external::ExternalInterface$/_initJS() at flash.external::ExternalInterface$/addCallback() at Darla/init()[/Library/WebServer/Documents/viewability-flash/src/Darla.as:44] at Darla()[/Library/WebServer/Documents/viewability-flash/src/Darla.as:28]"
kayla6699 Posted August 17, 2015 Author Report Posted August 17, 2015 yes, Pius. these pop up continually, regardless of what torrents working.Alcaray, did this happen suddenly with you and do you know what started it? the first time it happened for me was with the Asian torrent. are they referring to the boxed ad in the bottom left corner of the interface?
DreadWingKnight Posted August 17, 2015 Report Posted August 17, 2015 e-mail bads@bittorrent.com with details on the specific ads that were displaying at the time.
kayla6699 Posted August 17, 2015 Author Report Posted August 17, 2015 DreadWingKnight, this pop up is happening for me all the time, regardless of what ad is playing or trying to play.
bigfalls Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 Adobe has released a new flash player, 18.0.0.232, with their latest round of security updates. This update has faulty processing whereby, in some cases we've not yet identified, video ads in BitTorrent and uTorrent will cause an erroneous pop-up. This Adobe update is affecting other desktop software as well. Guys, your reports have been really helpful. We'll update the forums with more information.
kayla6699 Posted August 19, 2015 Author Report Posted August 19, 2015 thanx very much. I did update Adobe recently. i hope you guys can find the problem.
kayla6699 Posted August 22, 2015 Author Report Posted August 22, 2015 as of today the problem seems to be fixed. thanx!
bigfalls Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 Here's a related post and instructions for updating Flash: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3089023
