Jeroi Posted July 1, 2006 Report Posted July 1, 2006 Hello so I have many my own created movies in their own files organised to separate main folders etc.So when I add multiple torrent same time via drag & drop, with default download folder [x] D:\downloads, program starts those torrent but will start to download them, rather than seeding my releases which are already completed. Problem can be solved via checking [x] always show dialog on manual add. But with this I have to specify every download folder for all those torrents. So imaginen 40 torrents in same time, you have to search their folders separately. Plus, utorrent remembers last download location for the next torrent, but this helps only for those torrents that are in same folder that first torrent was and you can click ok, ok, ok, ok, ok and when comes another folder torrent then you have to search the folder again and same rumba: ok, ok, ok, ok.To fix this, I would want a checkbox to downloads properties:[] default download folder is torrent's folder when added torrents via drag&drop
Firon Posted July 1, 2006 Report Posted July 1, 2006 So specify it. It means that you either saved the finished files to another, use move completed, or renamed the dir.
Jeroi Posted July 2, 2006 Author Report Posted July 2, 2006 What do you mean by specify?I have torrents in same folder where the file is, like the torrent maker creates them. But I dont want to download anything else to these folders and I use default downloads folder for moves, porn, files etc... So I have folder called F:\Anime\ and it includes folders F:\Anime\amv , F:\Anime\music etc... in those folders I have my files and torrents. So when I drag&drop those torrents from invidual folders with default download folder D:\downloads checked at porperties, utorrent starts to download those files to my default download folder. If I remove default download folder utorrent will ask everytime from me where to save my downloads. So my problem is that when I add those torrents they wont start seeding those files where the torrent are. And with current settings in download tab you cant make it to understand automatically to chooce dl folder from torrents folder, so you have to manuallay select dl folder. this is Why utorrent needs that on checkbox saying that if checked torrent will be downloaded to that folder where torrent was. That way utorrent will understand that those files are 100% completed already. I would like this to work same as torrent create dialog does, when you make new torrent utorrent will save the torrent to same folder where the file is and start seeding. This same thing goes for every file that someone request for seeds, I dont have that file anymore at download folder as I have moved it and the torrent. Then I want to start seeding the torrent and just drag it to utorrent but again same thing happens, utorrent says that I dont have completed the file and I look where it is downloading those files and whoa, to default download folder!
Jeroi Posted July 2, 2006 Author Report Posted July 2, 2006 Another maybe better thing would make a checker for torrent load code. when you add manually torrents, utorrent would check if file is downloaded already in that folder and start to seed, if not it will start to download files to default download folder.
MageMinds Posted July 3, 2006 Report Posted July 3, 2006 I have the same problem. I have the file in the completed download folder and when I load a new .torrent it start to download into the Incomplete download folder rather than checking and seeding it.Let's say I found the file from the newsgroups and I want to upload it to a tracker, I put the file in my completed download folder, I create the .torrent using µTorrent feature, then I upload the .torrent to the tracker and then I download it again (private tracker it PID) uTorrent takes control of the .torrent, but try to download it, I have to manually STOP it, and then "Set the download folder" then "Force Recheck" and finally START.Here is my config for download folders:MageMinds
