error Could not initialize the installer Stable(1.8.7 build 41795)

SOLVED!

Hi,

Since December 2015 uTorrent for Mac (1.8.7) don't work, when the app open show the error message: Could not initialize the installer. In order to solve the problem I install the beta version, that work fine but don't have a correct sort list columns, etc.

Could you give me a trick in order to solve this problem.

I have the exact same issue with utorrent as @schmilo 

uTorrent for Mac (1.8.7) doesn't work, when the app opens it shows the error message: Could not initialize the installer.

In order to solve the problem I installed the beta version

OS X 10.11.3 El Capitan

The problem still continues in version µTorrent Stable(1.8.7 build 41921)

The bug persist in the last version estable(1.8.7 build 41986)

I was able to install by doing the following:

In System Preferences; go to Security & Privacy; set "Allow Apps downloaded from:" to "Anywhere".

Install uTorrent

Restore the setting to its previous value.

use this link it will download utorrent 1.8.8 and should not come up with Could not initialize the installer
