DreadWingKnight
Your firewall is probably blocking it or you set your settings wrong.

Whats going on with utorrent?? I have the same problem: Mac OS X El Capitan v.10.11.2, uTorrent v.1.8.6 and 1.8.7. I have no firewalls install on my machine. This issue appears several days ago/ When I start uTorrent speed goes up to 5Mbit/s for a fes seconds and then fall down to 10 kbps

No firewall OSx el captain, never seen this happen on older versions of utorrent. it's not doing it on Vuze. I really do not like vuze though and want my utorrent to work!
