arsenalforever
Firstly, I can't find any thread/sticky that has the latest good settings to be used so I started by following the steps here: http://help.utorrent.com/customer/portal/articles/1753715 But when I began to run the setup guide, I got error 10053 for all server locations when running the upload test. I have tried disabling DHT and enabled "Access Data sources across domains" under Internet Options. I have also tried resetting settings and reinstalling utorrent but still no luck. I do not have any firewalls enabled either. Also, there are torrents that give me peak speed when I start them but drop down to 5 - 10 kBps even though they have around 287 seeders and only 4 leechers...What should I do? DreadWingKnight
Well if slackware torrents are outright not working, you have something in your setup that's actively blocking.

DreadWingKnight
It's usually internet security software, proxy settings or a hostile internet provider.

Turns out I had disabled DHT while troubleshooting error 10053 (it was suggested in a couple of places). Now that I have enabled DHT, I am able to download slackware torrent properly. So what's next?
