jpsch
Hi ! I noticed recently that when I download files larger than, say, 100 MB, my Internet connection crash after a few minutes... so I have to reset the modem (or whatever the damn thig is called) ! As the softwares or movies are getting of higher quality, their "weight" is growing too, so most of the things I want to download take aaaaages, because I have to reset the modem several times ! BTW, I use uTorrent ver. 3.4.2 ! ...and my download speed is quite slow: about 450 kB/s at best :-( ! Any idea of what is the cause ? ...and of course, WHAT can I do to remedy this problem ? (...although I don't believe it is a Utorrent setting !) TIA for any help/solution
DreadWingKnight
What setup guide did you follow to configure uTorrent? And have you tried the current versions yet?

I left the configuration untouched ! ...and no, I haven't downloaded the current version, because I noticed that, everytime I update, I have to find out how to get rid of the adverts ! ...and I don't know if the latest version would cure the problem I have... BTW, are there any "special" settings that would hep with my problem ? TIA for help...

jpsch
Ohhhh, and another thing: whenever I click on the orange triangle to test the bandwidth/Network, I ALWAYS get this dreaded RED X, whichever location I try ! What's the problem there ? Plus, below "Network", in "Results", it's said that the Port is not open.... what shall I do to open it ??
