sifadil
Hello. Is there any reason why utorrent can't connect to peers that use port 80 as a listening port? No matter how hard I try I can't get my PC-1(192.168.1.1:50999) to establish a connection with another directly connected PC-2(192.168.1.2:80) in my network. While adding PC-2's IP:Port manually no connection attempt is logged in PC-1's utorrent and no packet is captured in Wireshark. In contrast, if I add manually an arbitrary port like 192.168.1.2:79 a connection attempt is both logged in utorrent and captured by Wireshark. NOTES: - Windows Firewall is disabled and no antivirus is installed. - The PCs use Windows 8.1,utorrent 3.4.6 build 42178 and are directly connected using an ethernet cable. - They can access to HTTP websites when connected to internet. - I also tried using virtual machines with windows XP and different versions of utorrent. Thanks in advance. EDIT: It seems that very old versions like 2.0 and prior are working correctly.
