openning Posted May 23, 2016 Report Share Posted May 23, 2016 I have had this problem a few times before, but it usually resolves itself somehow... but for some reason it isn't happening this time. I have a fairly large file on my computer that I no longer need. I had left in utorrent for a while, in order to share it, but it was taking up a lot of space, so I want to delete it. I deleted it from utorrent (which, for some reason took a few tries, it kept refusing to delete but it eventually did.). But I noticed that the file still shows up on my computer (and is usable, it's not just an thumbnail, if i click on it, it opens and functions normally). I want to delete it, but whenever i try it says that it can't because it is open in utorrent -- to close the application and try again. But well, a)it isn't in utorrent anymore, and b)utorrent isn't even open on my computer at the time. So I am completely confused... And frustrated. This is gigabytes of space that I need to clear up. PiusX Posted May 23, 2016 Report Share Posted May 23, 2016 Sounds like you didn't follow the right way to remove the torrent file and not it's stuck. This is beyond the scope of utorrent you need to find the file and remove it manually.
