Torrents suddenly won't download

I'm using a MacBook Pro, Mac OS 10.10.5. and have been using uTorrent for quite a while but noticed about a week ago that torrents are not downloading; activity is uploading only. I have tried applying a port forwarding rule to my Airport Extreme (port 54162) but it's not helping. I am not experienced in configuring systems so I don't know where to start in adjusting the settings. Can anyone please advise, or direct me to published info with a step-by-step guide I could follow. Many thanks.
