melliott2811 Posted June 1, 2016 Report Posted June 1, 2016 I have been using this program for years, but now it is consistently taking up to 2 GB of RAM through utorrentie processes. Any idea why this is happening? I am using the most-current build 3.4.7 42330. I would send this question to support team via help ticket, but link tells me that I will not receive assistance as a free user.
DreadWingKnight Posted June 1, 2016 Report Posted June 1, 2016 1> that's not the main utorrent process 2> that's not from a current version of uTorrent.
melliott2811 Posted June 1, 2016 Author Report Posted June 1, 2016 So, you're telling me that although I am running the current version of uTorrent, the utorrentie is not a process that is associated with the current version? I saw posts about it running "separate IE frames", which I assumed meant the ad server.
DreadWingKnight Posted June 1, 2016 Report Posted June 1, 2016 utorrentie is the ad renderer. It is SUPPOSED to be killing itself far before you get to that level of ram use.
