parrottg
Hi People I now do essentially all my internet browsing through a VPN. It took me a few days to figure it out, but I now have Firefox configured to only use the IP address assigned by the VPN. When I find a desired bit torrent file, the UTorrent program pops up and controls both the downloading and the subsequent seeding. I'd like it if all that activity (leeching and seeding) could be directed through the IP address assigned by the VPN...not the IP address assigned by my internet service provider. So my question is i) Can UTorrent be configured to direct all up/down traffic through the IP address assigned by the VPN? and ii) If "yes", how does one go about configuring UTorrent to achieve that objective? No one would ever confuse me with a skilled or experienced computer geek so please, if my question seems rather stupid to those of you who are more skilled, be kind. Thank you in advance for your consideration and advice.
DreadWingKnight
It can be ENCOURAGED to run over the vpn only, but you need 3rd party software to force it by blocking uTorrent's access to everything but the VPN adapter.
