shooby73
Starting just a few days ago, utorrent is now crashing on my Windows 7 home built computer. It has only happened when I am away, not in front of me but I find an error on the screen that says it has used too much memory (no screenshot currently, sorry). I opened it today (3rd or 4th day in a row I got the error) and have been watching the task manager while doing other things. Under Processes--Memory(private working set) it started at about 160,000K and has been steadily increasing by 4K every second that it has been open. It's at 220,000K and rising, using between 4-10 of my CPUs(it keeps changing). The only thing that has changed on my comp recently is I switched from banner-happy AVG antivirus to Bitdefender. I turned Bit off and the memory keeps rising regardless. Any ideas? Thanks.
PiusX
What version are we talking about? If you didn't run utorrent does the problem still happen?
shooby73
Sorry, it's 3.4.7, I keep it updated. Maybe it updated this week and I didn't know it? This problem is only with utorrent, everything else runs fine.

On my computer? Same thing, I don't know how to change that stuff. Where am I looking? I don't see it under under preferences...
DreadWingKnight
The disk cache settings are under advanced.
shooby73
The first and last boxes are unchecked. All the ones in-between are checked. I don't think I ever touched these settings, I don't recognize them.
