vivaldirb97 Posted August 31, 2016 Report Posted August 31, 2016 Okay so first of all i have 10mbps internet connection which is around 1.25 mB/s. Ive tried downloading numerous things without utorrent and got the exact 1.25 mB/s. The problem is, my utorrent seems capping my internet speed to 500 kB/s (couldnt go any higher). Ive made sure that this isnt because of my ISP throttling my torrent because im using the only fiber optic ISP in my country and none of my friends having the same issue as i am. And dont say it caused by seeder, because no matter how many torrents that i download, the total download speed is capped to 500 kB/s. Okay for make it clear : downloading 1 torrent = capped at 500 kB/s downloading 2 torrent = capped at 500 kB/s (1 torrent went for 250 and the other for 250) and so on... Ive tried this following troubleshoot : 1. changing client from utorrent to bittorrent and the results was still the same 2. allowing utorrent and bittorent through firewall 3. using the latest build of both utorrent and bittorrent 4. restarting PC and router 5. reinstall bittorrent and utorrent But strange thing happened, i downloaded a file from http://www.slackware.com/getslack/torrents.php and it went almost full speed. Any idea whats going on and please help me
DreadWingKnight Posted August 31, 2016 Report Posted August 31, 2016 If slackware is giving you full speeds, it's not uTorrent doing the capping.
vivaldirb97 Posted August 31, 2016 Author Report Posted August 31, 2016 Then what? almost all torrents capped by my utorrent. Except slackware and btguard which are being used as torrent speed test (alot of people in this forums said that)
DreadWingKnight Posted August 31, 2016 Report Posted August 31, 2016 If ANY torrents give you full speed, it's NOT by uTorrent.
