regedt32.exe
Hi,Dockable Windows & Menus are a common feature found in all well known applications these days. Microsoft Office, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Flash, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, the list goes on. When you open utorrent however, the first thing you might notice is the way in which the different elements are competing for visual real estate. The toolbar, detailed info, status bar and category list are over encumbered and sometimes need to be disabled so that you can better focus on something your interested in. Dockable menus found in other programs allow you to modify your workspace in a number of ways by docking windows, toolbars and menubars anywhere on screen, by resizing them and even allowing transparency on the objects that aren't in focus. The way utorrent is arranged atm does seem pretty efficient. But imo when the main window has any more than ten torrents I start to see everything getting a bit overcrowded and I wouldn't mind being able to have the detailed info or labels window floating rather than snapped into their designated areas. Also the tables in the detailed info section have alot of white space and could benefit from the perspective of a resizable window. I also noticed that the word "tracker" is a duplicate in the labels "tracker url" & "tracker status" because the whole table is already titled "Tracker". Anyway I guess I can wait until another major release somewhere down the track when the GUI is greatly organised, but I feel that utorrent is such a great program it deserves to have these features implemented at some stage.
