Psih Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 Unable to load *.torrent: The system cannot find the file specified! This message is shown when clicking "Open" when downloading .torrent file from tracker. It shown when I updated uTorrent to version 1.6. I don't use options "Store .torrent files in:" and "Move .torrents for finished jobs to:"I'd say that's a critical one bug, witch need's an ASAP fix, because it annoing very much. I personaly can't work normaly at all now...
µtorrent-Guest Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 this is no bug!if the tracker has no static url for that torrent but its maybe a "personaly generated" torrentfile (on a private tracker for example) this open torrent function in µT can not work.Save the torrent on your local HDD and then use the open command in µT
Firon Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 http://utorrent.com/faq.php#While_torrenting_I_get_error_the_system_cannot_find_the_path_specifiedIn this case, the .torrent filename's too long I guess. Save somewhere, give it a short name, then load it.
