utorrent files downloading to roaming folder instead of where I set them

Recently, when I download a torrent, and set the location (usually on my external hard drive), uTorrent downloads the file but then doesn't store it in the designated folder I chose at the beginning, and instead it goes to C:>users>me>AppData>Roaming>uTorrent>filename. I can only access them by opening containing folder from right clicking the torrent in uTorrent because these are hidden folders otherwise. In uTorrent, these files say seeding in status but they are red so not really seeding. Kinda lost. Thanks for your help.
