spheedy Posted November 28, 2016 Report Posted November 28, 2016 Hello, I have searched high and low, for this error i have been getting and not even google could help me in finding a solution to this problem. Recently i have reinstalled my system , everything brand new, got the new version of utorrent 3.4.9 (build 42973) and i have been getting this error on like 80% of my previous torrent files and even on newly ones i have just recently begun downloading. Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted As you can see in the attached pic i am getting this msg and i cant seem to understand why or what is causing it . Some plp suggested i increase my port witch i did , to one over 65.000 but still nothing happened. Firewall is ok as far as i can see. I dont have any antivirus other then MS security essentials one. Could some windows update might have caused this? I am at a loss here so pls if anyone has ever encountered this problem let me know if there is a fix, if any. using win 7 x64 Thank you
DreadWingKnight Posted November 29, 2016 Report Posted November 29, 2016 What setup guide did you use to configure uTorrent?
spheedy Posted November 29, 2016 Author Report Posted November 29, 2016 hi , i have used this one here seemed most recent settings and closest to the current version, no other reason
DreadWingKnight Posted November 29, 2016 Report Posted November 29, 2016 You're not using supported settings. Please delete your settings.dat and settings.dat.old files from %appdata%\utorrent
spheedy Posted November 29, 2016 Author Report Posted November 29, 2016 Ok, i have done that ,seems that the error in question is no longer appearing, i don't know what setting/s in there might have been the culprit. Thank you very much for your help and quick reply Quick followup question is there an "supported settings" list ?
