kraijeck
My friend has only USB ADSL modem (Zyxel). He can't get good speed in uTorrent. He ask me how to improve speed. Should I suggest him to buy a new router?
kurahashi
Does he get the good speed downloading from www/ftp etc?If he does, then the answer is no.
Switeck
The problem may not be a router ...or lack of a router. Many USB ADSL modems suck badly -- they simply cannot handle the traffic levels (especially the number of connections) that many of us take for granted on BitTorrent.Try very conservative settings in Speed Guide (CTRL+G), and see if that stablizes things. kurahashi
Hum, basically yes, but his speed is not so great to run so many connections at all (only 512/256). And if he does that only means his uTorrent setup is wrong

Nefarious
make him try the openoffice torrent, to see if he can get full speed, if he does then nothing to do, but still better safe than sorry
