Label Backslashes Changed to Underscores - No Subdirectories

I use labels to organize rss downloads. In the past I used the labeling feature that allowed you to create multiple layers of sub-directories:

If I labeled a file Apple\Banana, after the download was finished, it would be moved to (Completed Download Folder)\Apple\Banana\DOWNLOADED FILE

Now, it seems to replace the back-slashes with underscores... meaning this example label would result in: (Completed Download Folder)\Apple_Banana\DOWNLOADED FILE

I don't recall exactly when this started happening but I believe it was around the time I updated from a bit older version of uTorrent. Has this feature changed/been removed? Any other reason this might be happening?
