Problem with one download

Hi All,

Someone is trying to send me an 8Gig file. It is the first time for both of us using uTorrent. I was able to download a test torrent from someone else, so I know that I can get uTorrent to work with my computer setup. But the file this guy is trying to send me does not work. Here is a copy of my email to him describing what I see on my end:

Something else I have just noticed with this latest try. When I add the "new torrent with URL", in the add new torrent popup, the file contents do not appear in the torrent contents box. The loading circle in the bottom of the popup just keeps circling. No file size info either.

If I click OK at this point, it just goes to the same thing we have been getting right along. (inactive torrent with 0 of 0 seeds connected and 0 of 1 peers connected, and nothing downloads) At first I thought it might be the file size that was slowing the transfer of this info into the add new torrent popup, but I let it sit for 1/2 hour and it never filled in. I did try the other test file again and information does appear in these fields in about 5 - 10 seconds.

So I am assuming that uTorrent isn't reading any file contents, so nothing happens. Don't know if it matters, but he is in Australia and I am in the USA.

Any thoughts on what might be the issue here. I will give the other guy a link to this post so he can hopefully make any adjustments to the torrent file that is needed.

Chances are both of you are firewalled AND dht is not functioning.
