evanmg7
hi,Lately, i have been doing a lot of torrent downloading.Sometimes my download speeds would be at 800kb/s and then sometime about 50 kb/s.I do not change my prefrences. Is there a reason for getting slow and fast speeds at certain times?
Ultima
Because torrents don't guarantee any kind of speeds. It all depends on the swarm. Or it could always be ISP throttling at certain times of the day/week/whatever.
evanmg7
how do i add peers?says i need ip and port to connect?is there a way to obtain this information if i see a peer who has a fast upload speed?
Ultima
You can see the peer's IP and port already in the Peers tab. If you already know a peer has a fast upload, wouldn't that mean you're already connected and downloading from him...? If you can see the peer in your Peers tab, you don't need to add him again, and trying to add the peer again won't force him to start uploading to you.
