wraithguard
So does this count as a "bug" then? your new 3.4.9_43388 update, the utorrentie.exe is trying to get me to put in my windows username and password in to a window title "web helper" and call "microsoft". "the server security-host-scan-service.in is asking for your username and password blah blah blah, call 0-800-046-5273 etc" not cool.
DreadWingKnight
Definitely not cool. On our side, I'm going to get the advertising guys looking at it to make sure it's nothing on our side (would need to know approximately when this came up) On your side, I'd recommend scanning your system with malwarebytes. wraithguard
it came up sometime between 12 midnight last night and 11am this morning. it was being done by the utorrentie.exe file in AppData\Roaming\uTorrent\updates\3.4.9_43388 disabling the program through task manager made the pop up "web helper" window go away and the adverts in utorrent break when i do that too. restarting utorrent or waiting a while then the adverts come back and the same web helper shows up twice in task manager.
