hackeras Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 Hello, recently i noticed that Port Forwarding on port 55555 stopped working for reason and as a result others cant connect to me and hence iam getting low downlaod sppeds cause ic an only connect to them.I re-set up the router but still same thing happens. As a matter of fact no port is being forwarded any more and i cant see why.Can you help me plz?
SL83 Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 Do you have a static IP set? Or are you using Static DHCP?If not, your router may have assigned your computer a new IP address, and that is why your port forwarding is no longer working.
Firon Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 Could also be your firewall freaking out for some weird reason, if what SL83 said isn't the case.
hackeras Posted July 11, 2006 Author Report Posted July 11, 2006 Yes what SL83 isnt the case cause i have tried it both in Stativ IP mode and in DHCP which it always gives my only one comp the same ip address 10.0.0.1 of the pool which is the one one all apps sharing is on.Also Firon i ahev tried to disable the router firewall but still nothiong, the problem remains.I have no soft firewall enabeld either.
playwithsticks Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 I am having the same problem now too. I recently reformated my commputer and also don't have a firewall installed yet. I haven't been able to seed for the past couple days and as of this morning i haven't been able to download. I see the peers but no connections are made. I recently also got a new router, a Linksys WRTP54G, and a new networking card, a Linksys WMP54GX4. If i remember correctly though all were working perfectly before i reformated my computer and my router has the same settings still.(edit) I just figured out that it is probably my firmware for my router, now the poblem is updating the firmware. Contacted Linksys already and they said i had to go through Vonage. I'll try that and be back to let you know(edit 2) Just got off the phone with Vonage, gave me some help but didn't get the problem solved. The firmware is up to date but i still feel that it is something to do with this router because i don't have any firewalls turned on at the moment
DoitBest Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 Yes, this is the same problem that I am having, but it is only with my new computer. I am running Windows 64, is there any new firewalls or anything that they added to it? Becuase the other computers that I have in my house work, with utorrent just fine, it's just that one...
