SonofBaraka Posted July 12, 2017 Report Posted July 12, 2017 'Since downloading uTorrent, I try to download a variety of movies, TV shows, etc. and keep getting this message: A newer version of uTorrent is already running. Please shut down uTorrent and try again. I don't understand this message. I went to the utorrent screen, clicked on File and clicked on Auto Shutdown(the only shut down option I saw). The PC shut down and when I found uTorrent and repeated the download procedure, I got the same message. BTW, I also have Bit Torrent and BitLord and got the same blocking message when trying to download torrents. What to do? BTW, this is a recent phenomenon. For months(years?) I was able to download torrents using one of the 4 torrent programs I downloaded.
DreadWingKnight Posted July 12, 2017 Report Posted July 12, 2017 Your torrent associations are pointing at the wrong install location.
SonofBaraka Posted July 13, 2017 Author Report Posted July 13, 2017 I still don't understand your comment. Just tell me, step by step,m how to change the install location so I can solve the problem.
