halloran
Recently a utorrent process called "webhelper" is making my cpu run at 30-35% at idle. This process runs with utorrent. Is this normal behavior? I have an Intel 7700k.
DreadWingKnight
The process itself is normal, it using 35% of a 7700k is not.
halloran
So is this going to be investigated? Do you need any more machine specs? I basically have to turn utorrent off in the taskbar otherwise my water cooling fans run at about 25%.
coltnn
just end the webhelper.exe, that's what I've been doing with no problems so far.
drghughes
@halloran Do you have utorrent set to start when Windows starts? I was having the same problem with WebHelper running for a long period of time and using a significant amout of CPU. I found that if I unchecked the option to start utorrent when Windows started, and started utorrent manually, then WebHelper only ran for a really short time with only minimal CPU before settling to 0% CPU. If you find the same solution works, then it would be worth reporting this as a bug.
