kerryln
I've been using utorrent for some years with HMA as a vpn. Recently whenever I try to download a file using utorrent and while connected to the vpn, the file goes straight to inactive status. If I try without the vpn, it works fine. Has anyone got some ideas on how I can rectify this? Thanks Kerryln
DreadWingKnight
Sounds more like a problem with the vpn than it is with uTorrent.
kerryln
That's what I thought too. However, utorrent is the only software that has this issue. It's really got me beat.

So other torrent program(s) are not showing inactive, you mean? Maybe uTorrent is not configured properly to work with the VPN...(?)
PiusX
VPN problems are not for utorrent to fix for you.
kerryln
Thanks. It turns out it was the VPN causing the issue. Changed to a different one and the problem went away.
