joshace
I have hundreds of torrents in my Utorrent database. Sometimes I search for a specific torrent by entering a word in the Torrent Filter field... such as the name of an actor. That field vanished on me today. I suspect my cat stomped on the keyboard and pressed a function key. Any idea how I can get the torrent filter field back?
mike20021969
On the left of the Search box, click on the black triangle arrow icon, then select the Filter My Torrents option. Does that work?

mike20021969
Does pressing F4 key help? F4 shows/hides the toolbar that the Search box is located on. (I don't think there is an option to hide just the search box from the toolbar).
joshace
I think the search filed used to be to the left of that "light bulb" tutorial icon on the search bar.. but it vanished a couple of days ago. It's even more strange, because the same version (44332) was working just fine for a long time.
mike20021969
Try using settings.dat.old: Exit uTorrent. Make a copy of settings.dat.old first. Delete (or remove from folder) settings.dat file. Rename settings.dat.old to settings.dat. Restart uTorrent. If that doesn't work, try with a new (empty) settings.dat file to see if it comes back. A bit of a pain as you'll lose your previous settings...
joshace
Thanks a lot Mike... What I've done so far in installed the previous version 44321.. and that fixed it.. I'm now going to upgrade to 44332 again.. and I'll let you know if it is still fixed.
joshace
I went back to 44332 again.. and it's working... Strange problem. It might have been caused by my cat stomping on my keyboard.. That happens a lot.
