pstein
Sometimes when I add a new torrent to utorrent I am getting a popup warning: "The torrent you are trying to add is already in the list of torrents. Do you want to load the trackers from it" Ok, I understand the first part. But are all additional trackers are ADDED the the first existing torrent or is the currently existing torrent REPLACED by the new trackers? Does it hurt (=have some disadvantages) to click on "Yes" button? Can I tell utorrent to always automatically assume "Yes" as default and don't bother my with such prompts in future? mike20021969
Existing trackers are kept intact. As far as I know, there is no setting for a default response so you will always get the pop-up.
pstein
Ok, thank you. Let me ask in a different way: From my (newbie) point of view each line represents a torrent with one or more trackers. So assume I already downloading e.g. LinuxABC.iso over tracker "mytracker123" Then I add another torrent for the same file LinuxABC,iso but different trackers "mytracker456" and "mytracker789" Are the two new trackers added/inserted physically into the first torrent or is a new torrent line opened? mike20021969
If I remember rightly, the original .torrent file is left intact. The additional trackers are only added "locally" (i.e. on your computer) and you may find that they disappear if uTorrent is restarted.
