sheldondsouza
Hi I like others find it extremely difficult to get that bloody green light. I have a XP service pack 2 . However i surely require to use it at work as at work we have a dsl connection. On my computer at work, there is no firewall and ICS is disbaled. The dsl router is a Lucent pipeline. (old model). My computer is not directly connected to the router but through a switch and so are the other clients. My ip is a static one 192.168.0.123 and the router ip is 192.168.0.254.i read it is possible for enabled port forwarding but how is done as i tried putting http://192.168.0.254 but nothing comes. At home there is no dsl router a normal 56k and even a firewall but i get a green light. So what gives?

sheldondsouza
According to your command the dafault gateway is 192.168.0.254I found something out i tried using telnet or hyperterminal to enter the router with the above address and it asks for the password.Since this was done by the outside company, i dont know what the password is. Is there any default password for it The model is Lucent cellpipe 20 series. i gues if i get the password then i will be able to open the require ports
SL83
Not a clue. I am not familiar with the router. Try admin, password, administrator, default, etc.See if any of it works. Also check google: http://www.google.com/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=Lucent+cellpipe+20+series&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-
