pstein
After running utorrent for some big, long running downloads I found now some odd error tracker status for some of the downloads: - No such host is known - hostname not found - unregistered torrent pass - simply "-" in column Sorry I am a newbie for torrents: Which of tracker status above indicate that the torrent download cannot be completed? AFAIK a tracker is not always required for downloading. So how do I distinguish between really dead torrent downloads and torrent which can be possibly downloaded? Are the tracker status mentioned above utorrent specific or are these status delivered by the torrent servers to all torrent clients? Thank you Peter

It depends on the DHT/Peer Exchange status, but if those two are working, then it's not tracker status that blocks a torrent from finishing. Unregistered Torrent Pass is a tracker-specific, none of them are uTorrent specific.
