hans0r
Hi!I have problems with the DHT! utorrent always shows me the yellow icon. I have opened the right port in my firewall and my router and I have a static IP but when I hit the button to test if the port is open (after clicking on the yellow icon) it tells me "error Port does not appear to be open"...can someone help me? silverfire
By static IP you do mean a static internal network IP and not your external/ISP IP right?
hans0r
yes I mean the internal IP! I tried it with setting a static internal IP but I saw that I have always the same IP even without setting it
Ultima
Your port probably isn't forwarded properly. Try uninstalling your firewall. If that doesn't help, enable Windows Firewall and connect directly your computer directly to the modem.
hans0r
port forwarding works perfectly with emule but not with utorrent my modem is a modem-router-combination and I already tried it while the firewall was disabled
µtorrent-Guest
µtorrent is not known for it that its port asignment is somehow flawed!so if you have problems with it, its that you made an error in portforwarding. cause µT uses the port it says it uses!your argument that emule works as another prove that YOU made an error in your settings and that there is no flaw in the port assignment coding of µT.Logic! hans0r
I did it exactly the tutorial on portforward.com. So you say it's my fault that it doesn't work, please tell me what I can do to make it work
µtorrent-Guest
get rid of the softwarefirewall. (deinstall it!!)they can NOT protect you against malicious software effectively but only effectivly hinder legitimate communication like that what you now experience! hans0r
what do you mean with connecting my computer directly to the modem?
Ultima
Disconnect the router. Get an ethernet wire and connect the modem directly to your network card.
