DreadWingKnight
PG2 and McAfee's firewall are my first two suspects, and unfortunately, you'd need to uninstall them both to get rid of the blocking they are doing.
Ultima
That's a scarily large list (25?) of startup items. Very scary. At any rate, what's BT Helper doing in your computer? It unnecessary, likely doesn't even work as advertised, and probably has spyware/adware in it. And WTF is Microsoft.exe? I have a feeling your computer has been HEAVILY compromised. McAfee should be destroyed for having so many applications run at startup. I wonder if half of them are even legitimate McAfee applications, or just more malware masquerading as McAfee.Edit: http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/microsoft/McAfee is WORTHLESS. Switeck
Even worse, from what I can tell items are REPEATED in the startup list. This is very unusual for legit apps to do, but very common for poorly-written viruses and spyware.I second the opinion that your box is seriously compromised. You are probably even seeing horrible web browsing/downloading speeds. For the sake of everyone, because if it's a virus it's everyone's problem...please look into it soon. Ultima
Nah, only Microsoft.exe is repeated. The rest that look like repeats only look like that because he scrolled up
Johnmike
McAfee Firewall is probably doing it. Honestly, I'd turn it off completely. What concerns me, however, is Microsoft.exe. That is not a part of Windows. It is a worm. Gabot.Afj. http://www.processlibrary.com/directory/files/microsoft/"[microsoft.exe] is a process which is registered as the GAOBOT virus. It takes advantage of the Windows LSASS vulnerability, which creates a buffer overflow and instigates your computer to shut down. To see more information about this vulnerability please look at the following Microsoft bulletin: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms04-011.mspxThis is a registered security risk and should be removed immediately. Please see additional details regarding this process"Disable it in startup immediately and run a virus scan. I'd reformat my machine at this point, if I were you, as well. I can walk you through removing it if you're having trouble, AIM me at SpaceJesus42.

Ultima
Kaspersky AntiVirus is a fine antivirus solution. If it were me, I would refresh the computer.
Firon
Norton, McAfee and BitDefender are all very poor anti-virus programs.

Johnmike
I like Avast! personally. No, WinTasks won't do shit. Run a virus scan with whatever Ultima recommends. I can help you try some stuff more easily if you AIM me, though.
21canal
Haven't seen anyone mention AVG Antivirus and ZoneAlarm fire wall - my favourites after trying so many others.
21canal
Forgot to mention PG2 will block legit sites if you have extended lists from sources like bluetack. I have removed PG2 - you may search on Peer Guardian in Chat for others opinions of PG2
Ultima
FWIW, PG2 only blocks sites if you tell it to filter HTTP traffic as well...
