darrin
I have a westell 327w modem/router. First time trying utorrent. I can connect to a torrent but I have a red circle at the bottom of the utorrent screen stating that a firewall is limiting my network traffic. I went here and followed the steps. The very last step it states Select the application you created using the Service Name drop down box. Then click Enable to enable it.And that is it! You are done! I get an additional pop up window that states the following:I clicked Cancel. Not sure what to do here. I clicked OK also but it asked for a service and an IP address. what do I do?Thanks
Ultima
http://www.utorrent.com/setup_guide.phpThat looks like a firewall alert. What firewall are you using?Edit: Uh, didn't notice that that alert is from your browser... -.-;
darrin
Using the router and windows firewall. I do have it set to enable windows firewall
Ultima
That's not a Windows Firewall alert. Are you 100% sure you don't have any other software firewall installed? Or maybe some interface to control your router firewall? And make sure you read the setup guide.
darrin
I cleared everything and went through the steps again. Doesnt seem to be working. Its probably user error. But I cant figure out what it is im doing wrong.
chimera3365
Actually wat i think it is the routers own firewall because i have a Westell 6100 modem/router and when i forwarded my port for utorrent i always get the message.
darrin
What have you done to correct it? It shows my upload speed when trying to download the sample torrent file is around 21k. The share ratio is about .05.
Ultima
Oh, I just realized that the alert was from your browser... -.-Make sure you set up a static IP, and you'll know the answer for when you press OK.
