Torrent already exist problem

Hello,

The problem:

I want to open a torrent file with mTorrent and download it.

I see a message:

The torrent your are trying to add is already in the list of your torrents .

Do you want to load the trackers from it?

The options I have are Yes or No

if I press Yes nothing happens. If I press No nothing happens either.

I am unable to add torrent and to download the file I want. It is really annoying.

Well, ok the message  means I already downloaded the file before.

First, how on earth can I find this already existing  torrent among many hundreds of torrents I have in my list?

Second, what if the torrent already exits, what then? who cares?  why should I bother finding

it? I just want to download my file again and again.

why   mTorrent  program prevents me  from downloading the file again?

So, my question How to get round this message of already existing torrent

and just add the torrent again and start download?

Thank you very much

Serge

Use "filter" option in the client. Finding your torrent will take nothing.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Because you already have that torrent downloaded. To do that multiple times delete torrent before next attempt.

Remove existing torrent.

  • 2 weeks later...

But Where is this Search / Filter option?

I use mTorrent 1.8.2  and there is a small window in the right upper corner with search icon.

If you mean this , it does not work.

when I enter letters in it, it does not seach among my downloaded torrents but instead

opens a browser empty page as if trying to seach on the web.

So my question is where exactly is the filter option ?

Thank you

That would mean you have to look at the torrent location their downloading to and search the name and it might show up. That's the only other way to know. Otherwise you have to look at the site for that torrent and search the name to find the torrent file for it.
