wakeboarder1 Posted December 24, 2020 Report Posted December 24, 2020 Is there a way with uTorrent to transfer completed movies to a movie folder on my NAS, completed TV to the TV folder, etc. I am trying to utilize the 10Gbe connection for transferring between the NAS and PC instead of clogging up the 1Gb connection on the NAS since I am running uTorrent on the PC and downloading to the NAS.
PiusX Posted December 26, 2020 Report Posted December 26, 2020 Unless you have changed the settings to where the downloaded movies saves to then you have to manually move them individually. And you shouldn't be running and watching torrent when transferring that is why your bandwidth is cut short.
wakeboarder1 Posted December 26, 2020 Author Report Posted December 26, 2020 I'm not watching torrents, just downloading on uTorrent on PC with the NAS as my destination because I don't like the torrent interface on the NAS.
PiusX Posted January 16, 2021 Report Posted January 16, 2021 Did you check your settings to see if the NAS was the location where it saves the torrent? Those transfer speeds are only good if both hardware has the connection to maintain those speeds but if the PC is downloading the torrent the transfer will be slow as it is writing to the NAS and not the PC where it would be faster. Anytime you moves to wired connections speeds drop and if your uploading at the same time speeds will affect bandwidth in DN/UPing of torrents.
