flashfletch100 Posted January 4, 2021 Report Share Posted January 4, 2021 Hi torrent-ers I have been using uTorrent for years now and have always found it great ... until recently. A month or so ago uTorrent auto-upgraded to 3.5.5_45852 and since then I have had trouble every time I restart uTorrent with being asked if I want to downgrade. This is not too much of a problem as I simply say 'No', but it becomes a real problem when I try to open a new torrent. I keep getting told that a newer version is running and the open fails. I have discovered that I can use File/Add Torrent ... but this is clumsy and shouldn't happen. What should I do? Also, I have not been able to use the auto Setup Guide for quite some time. Not only does the Bandwidth Test fail, but now the Network test always returns 'Port not open'. I have checked my port mapping and the nominated port IS allocated to uTorrent, and it appears that torrents behave normally both up and down. Has this feature been dropped but not removed?
