Using a VPN

Your vpn would need to be configured (either by you or by the vpn provider) to allow uTorrent to operate.

Hey Dread,

And how would one go about doing that? Generally speaking of course..

Also you need to check with your VPN to figure the settings if utorrent is having issues using it. I do know my older utorrent I am using a Proxy and that doesn't require any VPN to use and so far it's worked ok for my usage without paying a VPN to use.

Allow outbound communication with arbitrary destinations

Ideally forward inbound communication on the listening port defined in uTorrent's settings.

I am using uTorrent Pro with Nord VPN. Nord has a PTP tunnel VPN configuration. However, even using that profile doesn't make any difference. When the VPN is active, dl speeds hover around 25 Kb to 100 Kb. If I turn off the VPN (temporarily), the dl speeds jump up immediately to 8 Mb, 10 Mb and even as high 50 Mb. I'm at a loss here. And i certainly don't want to use uTorrent without a VPN!
