1.6 - running but not connecting anywhere

I'm running win2k pro, and utorrent is opening fine, and running with the computer fine, except that it isn't connecting to any peers, uploading or downloading any files. I'm not getting any error messages... its just looking like every other user in the world has abandoned me. In the logger, this is what it says:

Error opening Windows firewall 0x80040154

we recently changed wireless networks or something, and everything was working just fine before that. my roommate insists that it can't be the firewall because his AIM is running fine (mine isn't, I've figured out that utorrent and it are having the same difficulty).

any suggestions?

Router could be blocking it.

I just installed Torrent, I am running it and I have Mozilla Firefox on my computer.

I am getting Error opening Windows firewall 0x80040154, What should I do to make it work?

If you have a router (which has a hardware firewall in it), you could try disabling the Windows firewall.

Just make sure to ONLY port-forward the 1 port µTorrent uses instead of using DMZ which does everything.
