Switeck
Is there any already-existing thing in µTorrent that you can do/click that will delete all its settings files?A complete reset, in other words.Reason why I ask is lots of people on upgrading from v1.5 to v1.6 are having massive problems...some of which magically get their problems solved by deleting their settings files. Firon
No. Manual deletion.
Switeck
Then please consider adding a total reset button/menu option (ie: deleting all settings files) as a feature request.Definitely needs a "Are you SURE? (Y/N)" warning though.
Invy
What's so hard about just manually deleting the settings.dat file though?
Switeck
Having to tell every newbie who comes along...how to do it.
Ultima
I won't bother with my opinion on the matter, as I don't care whether it's added or not, but I'll just say that it is in the FAQ after all =T
Nefarious
and has been asked before (the "reset settings" button anyway)
Invy
Does deleting the settings.dat file wipe the statistic away?EDIT: There's only one way to find out... yes it does wipe the statistics as well.
Switeck
Lock this post, it's been asked before...Anyhow, just the frustration of not even being able to follow the FAQ to delete settings myself is a problem actually because I'm on Win 98SE...and %appdata% doesn't parse correctly...or something. Ultima
Indeed, and %appdata% parses to C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\ (as this page suggests)
Nefarious
but yeah, this should be closed anyway since it was asked before
Switeck
It works on Win 2000/XP, but it doesn't seem to work on Win 98SE...or at least not on my box. Even %Applic~1% doesn't work. I'm starting to think my windows is corrupted.
