g00ey
At one occasion when I was downloading a seemingly popular torrent (225 Seeds and 480 Peers or more) with uTorrent I noted that most of the connected peers/clients had almost the same IP number. Their numbers began with 208.10.23.nn or 38.100.27.nn (i.e. they were all within the same subnet mask of at most 255.255.255.0). And I also noted in the log that it had a lot of failed hash checks. What is that all about?
schnurlos
That are mostly fakefile peers. Block them by using the ipfilter.dat (look into FAQ for it).
