LostInCyberSpace Posted February 1, 2022 Report Posted February 1, 2022 So, my ISP speeds are 100mb down, 20 mb up. My vpn can match theses speeds. So why when I use uTorrent can I never get an upload speed of more than 2.2mb/s (usually 1.7-1.9 mb/s)? I have it set at 0 (unlimited). Download speeds are great either (7-8 mb/s) but I can live with that. I'm getting really frustrated at the up speed. If I seed a torrent of say 30GB and have plenty of peers it takes forever to seed. Thanks if you can help. Quote
rafi Posted February 8, 2022 Report Posted February 8, 2022 2.2Mbyte/sec = 17.6Mbit/sec + some 5% overhead , which is probably why.... XD Quote
PiusX Posted February 10, 2022 Report Posted February 10, 2022 (edited) Torrents are based on swarm and sharing and the other user bandwidth - they are not based on your ISP speeds. This is the part people confuse on torrent speeds that they aren't base on your ISP speeds. Edited February 10, 2022 by PiusX Quote
