Dear users,

Since yesterday, after some windows update, my uTorrent application disapeared!

I 'm running Windows 10 64 bits on a PC (a 3 years  old  HP computer).

The uTorrent application was not responding and windows could not find any trace of it.

I tried to reinstall uTorrent via download https://www.utorrent.com/downloads/complete/track/stable/os/win/

But the before ending the wizard set up, a pop up tells me the following:

RunTime error (at 95:176):

Cannot open file

"C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\Temp\is-UVSKM\uTorrent.exe" , not possible to finish installation as the file contains a virus or a potentially undesirable file.

After that, the pop up windows shut stays on the screen forever without any modifications.

I tried remove windows defender and any other firewall That i ay have on the PC but the installation keeps failing.

Is there any other people with the same problem?

Try to exclude utorrent.exe in Win Defender.

Thank you very much for your help.

 

Windows defender was blocking uTorrent; I had to shut it down, and then restart windows without it.

only then, I was able to reinstall uTorrent and now I'm running my PC without Window defender, but whit an Avast solution as anti virus.
