booyaa
running into this problem, yellow triangle, port(s) not open, configured my linksys router and zone alarm pro to allow open tcp and udp ports (know i have it right because i have had to open ports for emule). Tried setting up the static ip but it is conflicting with intel network connection, following the instructions the conflict exists and i have no internet service. my isp is rcn and the ip address in the dos program is the same as the linksys router 192.168.1.1 just for the hell of it i set utorrent to use the same port as emule, i am now getting the green check mark and the port is open. question, will i slow utorrent (downloads, uploads etc) down using the emule port (as long as emule is not running) or should i try to figure out why the higher number ports won't open
Ultima
As long as eMule isn't running, it's fine.
booyaa
Is it possible my ISP is blocking the higher ports and if so how can i test or what test can be run to determine this.
silverfire
Physically bypass the linksys router and test your upper ports.
Ultima
Uninstall your firewall, enable Windows Firewall (make sure the option to add a Windows Firewall rule in µTorrent is enabled), disconnect your router, and connect your computer directly to the modem. Then run µTorrent on the higher port.
abelloda
Had the same problem. What i did was open the port it was saying was closed to my routers firewall settings (Virtual servers). Added a TCP and a UDP both on the same port. 'This function will allow you to route external (Internet) calls for services such as a web server (port 80), FTP server (Port 21), or other applications through your Router to your internal network.' - Belkin's help files.
