I've seen some extremely annoying behavior lately, and those doing it need to stop. Double posting, bumping, cross-posting, and thread hijacking are NOT permitted.

Additionally, a problem specific to this subforum is the lack of detail that thread starters post. In a troubleshooting forum, we need plenty of details.

The following information is extremely useful to us:

-- ISP

-- Connection speed (in kilobits per second [kbps])

-- Router make and model, firmware version if you can find it

-- TCP/IP patch - yes/no, if yes, patched to how many half-open

-- Software firewalls, if any - these cause plenty of problems

-- Antivirus software

-- µTorrent settings

Not posting some of this information leaves you open to being ignored at best and mockery if we feel like it, and posting your computer specs (with the exception of anything network-related like your motherboard) generally doesn't help much
