MothBox
I am going to set up port forwarding on my wireless router (Netgear WGR614). Does this mean that in order for everyone else who is using this network to connect to the internet will have to set up a static IP also, or can they continue using it with no change, as long as the computers that wish to use utorrent with port forwarding have the static IP and the router setup to accept this?? Ultima
You might have to get them to use static IPs as well, since they might steal your IP if they continue to use DHCP.
MothBox
Is there anyway around the problem of configuring the router to allow utorrent to work without port forwarding then? I wondered if I could simply open a port on the router and use that as the default port for utorrent and p2p etc?
Ultima
If you can, configure your router's DHCP range to leave one IP open for you to use as your static IP.
