Zinfadel
I got moved into my university dorms recently, and I've been fiddling with uTorrent, attempting to get it to connect properly. Before, I had a DSL router which I simply forwarded the ports through, and uTorrent worked perfectly. Now, I keep getting the yellow triangle, and it says that the port is blocked.I asked both the TCC (campus computers department) and the ISD (provides the network/internet services) and both of them said that all of the the port ranges above 1024 are not blocked, and that the bittorrent protocol is not firewalled. Yet, I can not get uTorrent to connect to anything, and I have tried many ports, including port 80.Perhaps someone out there has some idea as to how I can fix this problem? DreadWingKnight
Then there is probably something on either your machine or in the TCC's setup that is interfering. The IP address block you specified is not one of the private ranges defined in RFC 1918 (which would indicate a router)
Zinfadel
Well, my computer's setup is identical to what it was like with the router when uTorrent was working; I have not tried to use uTorrent on a campus computer.I guess I will have to ask students around the campus (once most of them arrive) to see if they know what the problem is/any work-arounds.Thanks for the help DreadWingKnight.
