Draygonia
I have tried so many times to forward ports with my router and none of these ports seem to work! There is something cursed about my router and I cant figure it out! Im on a second computer, but I cant connect to 0.2 so this should be the right settings. Can someone help me figure out why I cant connect to the thousands of peers downloading 1 thing? It doesnt even connect to 1 Screenshot of port forwarding... Draygonia
This thing hates me! I set it up as the directions said, how come it doesnt work? Unable to map unpn port still...
Draygonia
Wow! Nevermind, its downloading really fast now with a Check in the bottom, so I assume it works, but Is till get the unpn error And it will suddenly climb to 40kbps and dive down to 0, is there a reason for this? I cant connect to many seeds either, only 1 from a 750 seed group.EDIT: Port wont open when it is clearly defined
Ultima
The UPnP error means nothing if you forward your port manually. Go to the Speed Guide (Ctrl+G) and use the port checker. What does it say?
Draygonia
It says it isnt open, I forwarded to 0.2 because I got that as my ip adress, but the default gateway is 0.1, should I use that? I plan to get off so sorry if I dont respond
Ultima
You set the static IP up on your computer as 192.168.0.2, following the PortForward.com guides?
Draygonia
Yes, and now I am downloading like crazy! Thanks! I think I fixed it, it says the port is blocked, but im getting download rates at about 250 kbps which is as much as I can go! This is great, thanks. Ultima
That means the port isn't forwarded properly.Follow the setup guide from the beginning: http://www.utorrent.com/setup_guide.php
Draygonia
Actually, I just checked out my router and I found an option called upnp and I enabled it, now I can use the upnp forwarding, Im pretty sure its fixed now, what do you think? Ultima
As long as µTorrent is getting the green light, then sure.
Switeck
Your default gateway *IS* your router. You want your router to forward incoming port/s to your computer...not to itself.
Ultima
Heh the screenshot looks like he put 192.168.0.1, so I kinda assumed 192.168.0.2 was not the gateway IP
Draygonia
I forwarded to 0.2 and I seem to be getting a great connection. Now I know my router requires a static IP adress to port forward and now I can host war3 games after like 2 years! Thanks ^.^
