Anoid
I have a folder of torrent files and loading them in various BT clients there are discrepancies, how could this be so? Looking into the I have discovered that torrent programs have been modified to handle attacks. The UDP attack has been used to trash transfers. Spoofing has also been a problem. I have also discovered that Torrent files have two variants which muddies the scene somewhat, Small wonder I run into problems. I also suggest stripping trackers from magnets so that counterfeit trackers cannot attack torrents. I have identified that Torrent v1 and Torrent V2 files exist. This seems to be the source of the discrepancies I have seen. Some old torrents are still out there but in this day and age running a seed box is not as common as it was. I am finding SATA SSD prices are tumbling fast. M.2 NVMe prices are falling. Makes it easy for an anonymous laptop seed box. Make sure windows network anonymization is turned on to prevent tracking etc, This way a stealthy laptop at a library or coffee shop is hard to notice and with anti tracking in Windows 11 helps seeds blend into the cloud safe. In Windows 11 in the WiFi settings at the bottom is where the setting to randomize the MAC of the WiFi card. Chrome also can block 3rd party cookies so some degree of protection is improving. When I post a torrent I include a MD5 file to be sure the distribution is correct. MD5 is a fairly decent file checker.
